Derek Redmond, motivational speaker and Olympic hero, has taken to the skies to support his son and school rugby squad in the St John’s College Rugby Festival in South Africa. Twelve teams have registered for the annual festival, which is in its 16th year. It will be a formidable challenge as many of the competing teams are from the best rugby schools in the southern hemisphere.

It seems his son could be well on the way to following in his father’s footsteps as Derek played Rugby Union for Coventry RFC and Stow RFC. Watch this space…
